Crystallokinesis: As an extension of his magma manipulation is the ability to create crystals from the molten substance as a volcano crafts diamonds. He is able to also shape the crystals he create and repair them.

Personal Information

Personality:  Contrary to the formidable creature he is portrayed to be, Kura is much more docile and mellow  than expected for an underworld guard dragon when he is not doing his job. When it comes to his duties, he is an unwavering, fearsome beast and that innate protectiveness comes out pretty strong even when he is ‘off-duty’. He has an eye for ‘beautiful things’, whether an object or a person, not limited to physical appearance. Once attracted then one can be sure that he will either follow them like a duckling or express his admiration in some way. Despite spending majority of his life underground, Kura is not shy towards others, though it does become evident that he is inexperienced in the ‘outside world’ the more a person gets to know him as he lacks subtlety, speaking frankly without meaning to be rude and radiates a curiosity so pure that it seems utterly childlike. Even though he is usually surrounded by otherworldly treasures 24/7, he surprisingly dislikes his somewhat obsessiveness towards the vast hordes of priceless objects he must guard. He hates greed and being associated with it angers him greatly, thus he tries his best to suppress his compulsion towards materialistic possessions...though it backfires in many cases. It is like an instinct to want to horde and possess pretty things, which results in his protectiveness even over the persons he take a liking to.

Likes: Crystals/gemstones, his treasured pearl, warmth, feathers, soft rumbling noises, long naps, spiced tea

Dislikes: Sunlight, humans, anything cold, large open spaces, his nails scraping over surfaces

History:

For as long as there had been precious materials, Kura had been there to watch over them for the various underworld beings who collected such things. At first, it was things like enchanted metals or those produced by the earth itself, raw and spelling of the dirt and rock they were prised from. The most beautiful of jewels, fabric made from an angel’s hair, ornate boxes carved from wood that was once a peach tree growing within the celestial gardens, blades that could cleave mountains in half, statues that would come alive at night, scrolls containing infinite knowledge passed down from the gods, potions that could grant immortality, instruments that played music so beautiful that it could entice the moon and sun….

Treasures beyond boundaries of imagination of mortals and celestials alike. Kura had been a dragon of the earth element who was chosen by the heavens to guard this ever-growing trove of treasures.

For decades and centuries, he watched his horde grow and grow, soon requiring him to extend his cave further in order to store it all. As much as he was first intrigued with the precious things surrounding him, Kura’s curiosity was watered down by his unavoidable solitude. His only companions were the singing hanging scrolls and various objects who seemed to have developed a sense of self. They spoke and sang of a bright world above where humans thrive and fight to live. Kura became jealous of freedom, shunning any thought of such things as the centuries dragged on and his only chances to go ‘outside’ was when he would be summoned to the heavens. But even so, he was ordered to return underground as soon as he had provided a list of objects in his protection. Adding to his misery, humans had acquired information about this hidden treasure trove  guarded by a dragon from mischievous imps above ground. Treasure hunters came from far and wide, some mortal, some not,  thirsting for the riches that lay within the wide expanse of an underground cave.

Their greed triggered disgust from the dragon who had dedicated his life to watching over the precious things that had kept him company for so long. There was no way these shallow-minded beings could appreciate what he guarded. The enchanted weapons would be stained by blood of enemies and innocents, the countless garment woven by angels would become tattered by their hands and the delicate pages inscribed with ethereal knowledge were not for these mortal eyes. Kura fought them off mercilessly, letting out his frustration at the lack of freedom he had, his loneliness and the fate he did not choose for himself. These treasures were his life and the only things that gave him any sense of worth.

As more centuries past, there came a sereness...The trove of the treasure dragon faded into legends and folklore, used merely to entertain the innocent minds of children and curiosity of scholars. Kura fell into boredom and melancholy. What was he guarding all this from now that no one even tries to find it anymore? His apparent misery was, however, not unnoticed when he was summoned to the heavens again. Feeling pity for the diligent dragon who was sentenced to a dreary duty, the gods granted Kura small amounts of freedom to do as he wished so long as he did not neglect his job for too long. It was as if something came alive within the dragon and he took this newly granted opportunity with great fervour.

He needed a vacation...as the humans call it.

Additional Info:
~He is unused to taking human form and thus he is rusty and the best he can do is this child-like appearance.
~That enormous pearl he carries was a gift from the gods and sign of his important duties.
~Most expectations of underworld dragons is that they're dark-coloured. Since Kura pretty much never sees the sun, he is very pale in pigmentation.

RP Style: Skype, notes, google docs- Whichever is fine~ I do lit or script np.
